World Occupational Therapy Day 2027

This year’s World Federation of Occupational Therapists World Occupational Therapy Day theme is Participation Matters.

For many of the people that our equipment supports, participation starts small. Sitting out of bed long enough to eat lunch. Staying comfortable in a chair during a family member’s visit.

Occupational therapists make those moments possible.

Pressure damage is one of the biggest threats to that. A single pressure ulcer can keep someone in bed for weeks, and every day in bed is a day spent not taking part.

We design our pressure area care equipment and support surfaces alongside the clinicians who use them. OTs are part of the team that tell us what works in a real home or on a busy ward and as manufacturers working directly with clinical teams, we can act on what they tell us. 

Our own experienced Occupational Therapist, Tracy Frowen BSc (hons) provides that valuable perspective both within Apollo Healthcare Technologies Ltd and through supporting our customers in their organisations.
