Hospice Care Week 2026

Where you live shouldn't decide the care you get at the end of your life.

Hospice UK reports that nearly one in three people don't get the care they need at the end of their lives, which is why this year's Hospice Care Week theme is "Don't leave hospice care to chance".

Hospice teams start with one question: what matters to this person? Then they build the care around the answer.

Skin integrity is part of that answer. In the last weeks of life, skin becomes fragile and being turned can be uncomfortable. A pressure ulcer at that stage adds pain that no patient or family should have to carry – so the support surface must take on more of the work.

That’s the part we can help with.

We are proud to work directly with hospice teams on their pressure area care initiatives – ensuring each patient has the right support surface and staff are supported to use them with confidence.
