Apollo Healthcare Technologies LTD are delighted to being the main sponsor for The CHASE (Care Home Achievement and Success Event) Awards for 2022.

The NHS Tissue Viability Team in Bassetlaw holds an annual awards ceremony, The CHASE (Care Home Achievement and Success Event) Awards. The CHASE celebrates partnership, innovation, and education in pressure ulcer prevention and best practice.

Eight years ago, a training scheme, ‘React to Red’ was launched, and the team continue to deliver this to care home staff. It has been a huge success, and has dramatically reducing pressure ulcer numbers within Bassetlaw care homes.

The CHASE has attendance from all care homes across Bassetlaw, dignitaries from across Bassetlaw Clinical Commissioning Group and Nottinghamshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The CHASE is supported every year by the trusted companies that provide the many items of equipment and medical supplies available for preventing and treating wounds.

The awards include; Outstanding Care Home of the Year, Innovation of the Year, World Stop The Pressure Day, 0% Acquired Avoidable Pressure Ulcers, and a new award, nominated by care home residents and their families.

The awards now incorporate the paediatric sector for those who look after children with complex needs in the development of a brand new training programme called Caring for Children with Complex Needs and their Skin.

The team believe the CHASE is a fantastic way to shine a spotlight on care homes in Bassetlaw, and the work they do in regards to pressure ulcer prevention, inspiring care home staff to continually improve on practice and drive down pressure ulcers in Bassetlaw.
